Food Styling
Making your dishes look irresistible on-screen and in print.
At Creative Kinds, we shape food into stories. Our food styling blends a love and understanding of food with visual storytelling to make dishes look irresistible on-screen and in print.
working with clients from Aoraki salmon to life & leisure and barker’s.
Over the past 12 years I have worked with some of New Zealand’s most esteemed food publications including Cuisine Magazine, Nadia Magazine, Nadia Journal, Life & Leisure, Sunday Magazine, The Spinoff and Stuff Newspapers. My clients also include Aoraki Salmon, Marcel’s Pancakes, Meat Street, Green Meadow’s Beef, Egmont Honey and Barker’s.
Over the years I have amassed an impressive library of props and backgrounds from all things vintage through to modern and everything in-between. I also have a range of colourful vinyl backgrounds should you want to inject an element of fun into your next shoot.
Whether you're launching a menu, shooting a cookbook, or creating engaging content for social media, I style your food or recipe to reflect your brand’s voice, highlight texture and colour, and to make your recipe shine!
“Not only can Emma at Creative Kinds style and capture our beef beautifully, she’s also flawlessly able to create new and exciting recipes for us, which hero our beef in all kinds of delicious ways! We value the work she produces for us and would highly recommend her services.” Juliet, Green Meadow’s Beef.
Collaborate with me for concept development, on-set direction, and final tweaks that turn recipes into shareable visual experiences.
Based in Taranaki I also work with clients across the country. Get in touch if you would like to know more or book a discovery call to talk about your next shoot.
