I am so glad you have stopped by.
My name is Emma and creativity is the life force that fuels me.
I live in Taranaki on a beautiful bit of land with my three wild, beautiful children and our faithful dog. Our land nourishes us body and soul and I feel deeply grateful that this place is home.
For me, creativity comes in many guises. It is time outside piecing together a garden; the colours and tones, the shapes of leaves and flowers the way they all weave together, like the layers of a painting. It is time in my kitchen with my kids, shaping and baking bread, Saturday pizza night with extra places set for the hungry mouths who haven’t yet made it home. And it is the way that I see the world through my camera and how I share it through my words.
I am fortunate that being creative is also my work. My working life began in earnest as an industrial designer working for Fisher & Paykel Appliances. I headed a team that started an in-house food blog in 2010 and really the rest is history. For 12 years now I have contributed to Aotearoa New Zealand’s top food publications including Cuisine Magazine, Life & Leisure, Nadia Journal, Sunday Magazine, Stuff News and The Spinoff. My clients also include some of New Zealand’s most well loved food brands such as Aoraki Salmon, Egmont Honey, Barker’s, Green Meadow’s Beef & Marcel’s Pancakes.
Do reach out - I would love to work with you to help you tell your story.
